Curata Beauty & Perfume Oils
Cūrata says, “sustainable luxury means choices you can live with, embodied in products you can’t live without.” Not only do we think that’s a cool slogan, we also totally agree with the sentiment.
Cūrata make two products: Aureo Multi Radiance Oil and Dulceo Botanical Perfume Extract. The first, Aureo Multi Radiance Oil is a luxurious, multi-use oil with eleven powerful, antioxidant-rich plant ingredients. We use it all over — on our face, hands, and body — and we swear we haven’t experienced a glow like it since our wedding day.
The Dulceo Perfume Extract is rich, spicy, and citrusy. It has sparkling top notes of sweet orange, guava and Moroccan Neroli with lush, nectarous heart notes of Indian jasmine, tuberose and frangipani and a gentle, creamy base of vanilla, caramel and cocoa for a contemporary, floral, fruity, gourmand fragrance. Unlike most perfumes on the market, this one comes without endocrine disruptors. It also won’t cause the headache, histamine reactions, and hives of so many of the competing, fake fragrances available today.
Cūrata is meticulous about their formulations, their sourcing, and the company’s total impact on the world around us. Each product is hand-blended exclusively and exquisitely in small batches in Montréal. Cūrata’s bottles are made from recyclable glass, encased lovingly in sustainable paper and given personality with organic UV and vegetable inks. Cūrata is also cruelty-free.
They partner with MADE SAFE, to ensure their products are made only with ingredients that are not known or suspected to harm human health, animals or ecosystems. MADE SAFE certified products have been examined by scientists for known behavioral toxins, carcinogens, developmental toxins, endocrine disruptors, flame retardants, GMOs, heavy metals, neurotoxins, high-risk pesticides, reproductive toxins, toxic solvents and harmful VOCs. Ingredients have been further examined by a chemist for bioaccumulation, persistence (buildups in the environment), and general and aquatic toxicity. They’ve also earned PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies certification, to proclaim their products are cruelty-free from the first ingredient to the finished product.
And if that’s not enough, Cūrata also works with 1% for the Planet, to donate one percent of their sales to Plastic Oceans: a global network of independent not-for-profits and charitable organizations united in their goals to change the world’s attitudes towards plastic—within a generation. They are committed to shifting how societies address plastic waste by challenging perceptions that this indestructible substance can be treated as “disposable”.
Good for the planet, great for your skin. Join us in doing better, with Cūrata.
